This 4×4 Adventure Tour Welsh Borders route has a fantastic variety of lanes. From densely wooded hills and exposed mountains to tight farm tracks and numerous fords – this tour has it all.
Come and join us on the 22nd and 23rd February 2025
Day One
Starts in Leominster and finishes at Rhayader. It takes in parts of Offa’s Dyke, passing through the the villages of Clun and Bucknell. Rhayader has many option for accommodation, including B&B’s, pubs, hotels and camping.
Day Two
Heads south across the open moorland of Black Yatt and Paincastle, ending in some thrilling lanes just to the north of Hay-on-Wye.
The route may also include the newly opened lanes of Water breaks its neck and Moelfe City conditions allowing.
Vehicle suitability
Some minor scratching from hedges in farmland areas can be expected.This route is not really suitable for newer shiny vehicles. Good tires required essential especially in winter. While there are a number of fords on this route, snorkels are not essential but are good to have in the wetter months.
