4×4 Adventure Tours has selected some of the very best off-road routes in mid-Wales.
Come and join us on the 30th November-1st December 2024.
This is an extra trip as the previous trip is now full
Our mid-Wales 4×4 route is based around Builth Wells and Rhayader and we drive some truly spectacular routes. There are so many great routes available in mid-Wales we are spoilt for choice and it is difficult for us to confine ourselves to just one specific route.
Route
Day 1 – usually starts on the famous Strata Florida, a well used but still probably the best lane in Wales. We then head north to Nant-y-Arran, where we can often see Red Kites being feed, with a choice of wild and wonderful tracks in this isolated area.
Day 2 – sees us heading south through the Crychan Forest, past Llandovery and onto Brechfa Forest finishing off on the awesome climb up Dunlops Dividend, first conquered by a series 1.
Vehicle Suitability
While these mid-Wales routes offer some of the best green lanes in the UK, they are also suitable for newer vehicles due to the nature of the mountain tracks and the lack of scratchy hedgerows. Standard vehicles can negotiate with care the rock steps and numerous ford and alternative routes exist.
Please see FAQ for full details of vehicle suitability.
